As of 12/08/03:
I noticed my vision limit settings in certain
areas were slaughtering people's gaming experience
by making their graphics cards do too much...
(which is why Lomatin has been so laggy in the
past day), and that the default value of 45 that
bioware *cough* wisely set for modules with HotU
was simply too short a distance for seeing the
enemy before being attacked. So I spent about
5 hours setting the fog distances to 60 instead
of 45 or 100, for all areas. What does this mean
for you? You can see more of the world around
you in most places now (excluding the few I decreased
from 100).
As of 12/03/03:
Hordes of the Underdark. I have it and
the server is now updated. I've added skies to
all outdoor areas, and now have to go back through
and alter the fog distances because I didn't notice
they became an area property... anyway, the skies
are nice... although they don't do well with the
buggy time issues. Maybe I can try removing the
forced time updating. Well, back to work. I found
it at EB Games (electronics boutique).
As of 11/30/03:
Added a clock fix (hopefully) and implemented
some improved vendor loading code, and some improved
storage code. Give them a try, and be wary of
the chest code. Don't rush it too much. I've not
done extensive testing yet, so I cannot say what
pushing it will do, nor can I say how much lag
they will cause. I'm figuring on improving it
further by locking down the player while it opens,
and while it closes, to ensure 0 outside interference.
Anyway, that's about all I've done lately. I'm
still holding back the spell casting system for
now. Oh, and I WILL be purchasing HotU first day
it is out, and updating the server. So look for
that in 3 days.
As of 11/10/03:
Added Salt to an area where it should be.
Added crafting placeables for milling,
baking, and brewing.
Added new areas from Wrath.
